Welcome! You've stumbled upon our Online End of Summer Party Wiki. Here's where we provide all of the information you need to know over the course of the party.
A laptop or PC and headphones. While you will be able to successfully watch the streams or participate in Zoom calls using your mobile device, we recommend that you bring/ use a laptop or PC with headphones plugged in for greater ease of mobility between party rooms, the Twitch stream, and our Discord server. Bonus points if you have multiple monitors!
Discord is an online server that is capable of hosting organized chat rooms. It is also capable of video calling and voice calling. If you need to learn more, here's their website link that describes the main functions of their servers, as well as a link to download the app.
Zoom is an "easy, reliable cloud platform for video, voice, content sharing, and chat [that] runs across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems." Rad Magpie used it to host Rad Studio Online this year because it is so useful for getting large groups of people together in the same virtual space. Here's a link to their signup page.
If you pre-registered for the party before last Wednesday, you received a bingo card in your party pack in the mail. Keep it handy as you explore the party and check off squares as you see or experience them (it's the honor policy around here). When you get a "bingo" (five connected squares in a single line), head over to the front porch and notify the Rad Magpie employee working the door. They'll get your info and you'll get Rad Magpie swag!!
